Day 22 (and summaries of the others)

WOW, So I have been busy. Is it apparent or what? So the last time I blogged I said that Wednesday and Thursday were hard days... Well that Friday was up there too. Three REALLY tough days in a row.

That Saturday we had a wedding and Sunday was a recovery day.

So that brings us to last week. I had a break down last week. Probably another reason why I didn't get around to blogging. I am pretty sure it was on Tuesday. Kia, our trainer asked to see my Mess journal. For those of you who don't know, Mess is a term used by the military for food. "Going to the mess hall". Anyway, so Kia wanted to see. That day both TJ and Kia were there so Kia started reviewing my food journal while started camp. She started making comments and shaking her head. I KNEW THEN...I WAS IN TROUBLE.

Anyone and everyone that knows me, knows I LOVE FOOD. Food is probably the reason I have even allowed my body to transform to be the mushy gush that it is. Well, as Kia starts making comments, I just break down. I started crying, I couldn't hold back the tears. I KNOW THAT FOOD IS MY WEAKNESS. Kia pulled me away from class for a few minutes during warm ups and basically gave me a pep talk. She told me I was doing awesome at breakfast and dinner but it was lunch which was killing me. And it was true, I eat awesome for breakfast, I cook a great dinner (or matt does) but eating out at lunch is KILLER. So I made a promise to Kia that day and I told her that I am doing to make a change in diet right then. And the promise wasn't to Kia, it was to myself and for myself.

Since Tuesday, I have had a huge mental change, I have been eating much better for lunch. I haven't been eating out with co-workers and am going to places that have healthy options or bring leftovers from dinner.

The workouts last week were good. Thursday we ran two laps around the park (just under two miles). It was HARD!! But I ran the whole way and did each lap around 9 mins. Friday was pretty easy, or so I thought. It was just me and one other guy, Josh and our trainer TJ. It didn't seem like a super long workout, but I was a little bit sore through the weekend.

I rushed home Friday to spend the weekend with Lea and Kel who drove down from Bakersfield. We hit up the Dodgers game on Saturday and the beach in Ventura on Sunday.

I have to say, Saturday night when getting dressed, for the first time I had put on my jeans and a top and felt SKINNY AGAIN!! My arms are definitely smaller and more toned and my jeans didn't seem to bulge on my hips like the normally do. YEAH!!! What a great end to a tough week.

So here I am the start of WEEK FIVE!! Yesterday was good, TJ was there training us. It was pretty intense with abs and legs. When I got home from BC, Matt asked me how it was and I responded "GREAT". He was shocked but I am loving it and really enjoy the workouts. Unfortunately, I wasn't sore this morning.

DAY 22 - Today, Kia was here and we ran one big lap around the park. I ran it in 8:47, just shy of a mile! YIPPPEE!!! We did a lot of back and chest exercises, not fave but whatever. I am looking forward to the rest of the week and seeing my continued progress.

Thank you all for the continued encouragement. Also, many of you might have noticed how I had said I was going to blog about the food journal but never did....Now you probably realize why!! haha, Maybe I should be Logging my Mess Log on my blog so that EVERYONE can keep me accountable!!

Yes! I wanna see your mess log!! Congrats girl. If at any time you start to get so slim and sexy that I start to jump into a jealous rage then maybe I'll start working out too.
